ART AND INCLUSION THROUGH THEATRE
The Step Into The Sun Project is an Italian non-profit organisation based in Rome, that promotes social inclusion through live theatre productions. In a way that closely reflects our own approach, the project is conceived as a space for artistic expression, personal growth and active participation.
The initiative does not operate as an inclusive theatre company in a performative sense; rather, it uses theatre as a tool for fundraising and public awareness. All proceeds generated from ticket sales of their productions are entirely donated to initiatives supporting people with disabilities.
Depending on the needs identified, the funds raised may be directed towards specific organisations, hospital facilities, direct support projects, investments in assistive technologies, or public initiatives aimed at increasing awareness and understanding of disability.
This operational model, in which artistic creation becomes a concrete vehicle for both financial and cultural support, reflects a vision closely aligned with that of DA productions: a theatre practice that does not end with the stage itself, but generates redistributed value and tangible impact.
The collaboration with the Step Into The Sun Project is therefore grounded in this shared vision: integrating artistic quality with social responsibility, and developing pathways in which art becomes a tool for participation, awareness and tangible support.
Through this partnership, DA productions aims to:
This collaboration further strengthens the ethical dimension of our work and fosters a dialogue between professional artistic production and community responsibility.
